Frank Elmore Bolling was born in Mobile, Alabama, on November 16, 1931. He started his baseball career in 1951 and played on five minor league teams before playing for the Detroit Tigers 1954-60. In 1958 and 1959 Frank led the American League in fielding. He played for the Milwaukee Braves from 1961-65. In 1961 and 1962 Frank led the National League in fielding. He played second base.
